Workstation levels and upgrades
Each distinct compatible extension raises its station by one level. Place it close enough to connect; a duplicate non-stacking extension does not add another level. An item’s nominal quality limit is separate from the station level you can actually build.
For ordinary quality upgrades, the required station level rises with quality. Material multipliers for qualities 2, 3 and 4 are 1, 2 and 4 against each recipe’s upgrade amount. The crafting calculator must stop at the feasible station limit and show the required extensions.
